Flourishing Fika

Writer's picture: Taylor Jean Taylor Jean

As most people know, I lived in Australia for three months studying abroad.

If there is one thing that college students need to survive, it is good coffee and other caffinated drinks.

I lived in a northern beaches town called Manly and this had The Corso where all the great shopping was. Within The Corso was the crème de la crème of cafes - Fika Swedish Kitchen. My friend Rachel had introduced me to Fika, and I have never found another place that equals in service, quality, and perfection. Fika is known for their Scandinavian coffee, cuisine, treats, and - of course - their yellow pops of color.

The best drink I had at Fika Swedish Kitchen was their Chai Latte. It was honestly like sipping a cloud.

Also, the Bacon & Egg Roll is to die for.

All in all, Fika was my favorite spot, and more memorable cafe. If you're ever in Sydney - it's a must!
